INSTRUCTION NO. 1551/CBDT Dated: February 8, 1984 Attention is invited to Board's Instruction No.1226 (F.No.201/57/78-ITA.II) dated the 22nd December, 1978 on the above cited subject. 2. On a re-examination of the matter, it is further clarified that the scope of these instructions will extend to the State Bank of India as well. However, the other conditions spelt out in these instructions would continue to be applicable in the case of State Bank of India also. 3. The above instructions may please be brought to the notice of all the Officers working in your charge.
