Monetary limit for reference toHigh Court and appeal to Supreme Court. - Income Tax - 1573/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 1573/CBDT Dated: December 7, 1984 Reference is invited to para 3 of Board's Instruction No.1328 dated 5th April(F.No.279/49/80-ITJ) wherein monetary limit of Rs.10,000 for reference to the High Court and Rs.30,000 for appeal to the Supreme Court has been laid down. The board has since reconsidered the matter. It is now decided that the monetary limit will be Rs.30,000 for filling reference to the High court and Rs.60,000 for filling appeal to the Supreme Court.
