Disposal of revision petitions. - Income Tax - 1706/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 1706/CBDT Dated: April 4, 1986 The statement of institution, disposal and pendency of revision petitions for the quarter ending 30th June, 1985 received from II(IT) shows the pendency of 21,255 revision petitions. According to Action Plan for 1986-87 financial year 78% of this pendency should be reduced by 31st December, 1986, by disposing of at least 25% of the petitions in each quarter ending 30th June, 30th September and 31st December, 1986. This Action Plan must be strictly adhered to and a compliance report sent to me at the end of every quarter, in the first week of the following month.
