INSTRUCTION NO. 1688/CBDT Dated: July 2, 1986 Under the existing instructions the monthly quota for Appellate Assistant Commissioners is fixed differently for metropolitan Charges and other charges. This system was reviewed in a Board Meeting. It has been decided that for and from financial year 1986-87, the quota for disposal of appeals by Appellate Assistant Commissioners will be 150 appeals per month uniformly irrespective of the charge wherever they are posted. This may be brought to the notice of all Assistant Commissioners working in your Charge.
