Rescinds the sector specific Special Economic Zone for Biotechnology at village Rahka and Rani-ka-Singola, Tehsil-Sohna, District-Gurgaon in the state of Haryana. - S.O. 281(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 13th January, 2014 S.O. 281(E).- Whereas, M/s. Mayar Infrastructure Development Pvt. Ltd. had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Biotechnology at village Rahka and Rani-ka-Singola, Tehsil-Sohna, District-Gurgaon in the state of Haryana; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 25.7177 hectares vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 2168(E) dated 8th September, 2008 ; And, whereas, M/s. Mayar Infrastructure Development Pvt. Ltd. has proposed to denotify the entire area of 25.1777 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for de notification of above area on 8th November, 2013; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
