Rescinds the sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Sector- 106, Village Pawala Khusrupur, District Gurgaon in the State of Haryana - S.O. 76(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 17th January, 2012 S.O. 76(E). - Whereas, M/s. Airmid Developers Limited had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Sector- 106, Village Pawala Khusrupur, District Gurgaon in the State of Haryana; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 11.6627 hectares at above location as Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 1495(E), dated 16th June, 2009 ; And, whereas, M/s. Airmid Developers Limited has proposed to denotify the entire area of 11.6627 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for de notification of above area on 8th August, 2011; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
