In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 8 read with sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Competition Act, 2002 (12 of 2003) , the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Augustine Peter as Member of the Competition Commission of India from the date of his assumption of charge of the post for a period of five years or till he attains the age of sixty-five years or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
