U/s. 35AC, IT ACT, 1961 - Eligible Projects Or Schemes, Expenditure On –The Leprosy Mission Trust India, New Delhi - 106/2013 - Income Tax

NOTIFICATION NO. 106/2013 DATED 27-12-2013 S.O. 3857(E) - WHEREAS by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) number S.O.92(E) dated the 2nd February, 1996 , issued under clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government had notified at serial number 6, Supporting the Leprosy Mission Hospitals by The Leprosy Mission Trust India, The Leprosy Mission, CNI Bhavan, 16, Pandit Pant Marg, New Delhi - 110001, as an eligible project or scheme for a period of three years beginning with assessment year 1996-1997 which was extended further vide notification number S.O.320(E) dated the 11th May, 1999 for a period of two years beginning with assessment year 1999-2000 which was extended further vide notification number S.O.976(E) dated the 10th September, 2002 for a period of two years beginning with assessment year 2002-2003 which was extended further vide notification number S.O.396(E) dated the 23rd March, 2005 for a period of three years beginning with financial year 2004-2005; and which was extended further vide notification number S.O.1310(E) dated 4th June, 2008 for a period of three years beginning with financial year 2007-08 and which was extended further vide notification number S.O. 1151(E) dated 17th May, 2010 for a period of three years beginning with financial year 2010-11; AND WHEREAS by notification number was also approved vide S.O. No. 2884(E) dated 27.12.2011 the estimated cost was enhanced from 62 lakh to 5 crore; AND WHEREAS the said project or scheme is likely to extend beyond sixteen years; AND WHEREAS the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, being satisfied that the said project or scheme is being executed properly, made a further recommendation under sub-rule (5) of rule 11M of the Income-tax Rules, 1962 for specifying the said project or scheme for a further period of three years; NOW, THEREFORE, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) read with clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), - hereby notifies the scheme or project Supporting the Leprosy Mission Hospitals , which is being carried out by The Leprosy Mission Trust India, The Leprosy Mission, CNI Bhavan, 16, Pandit Pant Marg, New Delhi - 110001 , without any change in the approved cost of 5 crore, as an eligible project or scheme for a further period of three years beginning with financial years, 2013-14, i.e., 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16.
