Area vulnerable to smuggling in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry specified - 17 - Customs -Tariff

Notification No. 17 Dated 07/01/1969 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of section 11H of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Government, having regard to the vulnerability to smuggling of the area mentioned in the Schedule hereto annex, hereby specifies the said area as specified area for the purposes of the said Act. THE SCHEDULE The inland area fifty kilometres in width from the coast of India falling within the territories of the State of Madras and the Union Territory of Pondicherry.
