Duty exemption on machinery and components manufactured in a bonded warehouse - 17 - Customs -Tariff

Notification No. 17 Dated 27-02-1960 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 100-A of the Sea Customs Act, 1878 (8 of 1878) as in force in India and as applied to the State of Pondicherry and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Revenue Division) No. 159-Customs, dated the 29 th September, 1955 the Central Government hereby exempts articles falling under items 72, 73(3) and 72(9) of the First Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act, 1934 (32 of 1934), and manufactured in a warehouse under the Manufacture in Customs Bond (General) Rules, 1960, when cleared for home consumption from so much of the duty leviable in respect of the imported aluminium warehoused under the said Rules, and used in the manufacture thereof as is in excess of the duty leviable on the date of such clearance on articles falling under the aforesaid items and imported into India or the State of Pondicherry.
