Seeks to Amend Notification No. 69/2004-Customs, dated the 9th July, 2004 - 68/2016 - Customs -Tariff

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE (DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE) Notification No. 68 /2016-Customs New Delhi, the 31st December, 2016 G.S.R. 1199 (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act,1962 (52 of 1962) , read with section 91 and section 94 of the Finance (No.2) Act, 2004 (23 of 2004) ,the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.69/2004-Customs, dated the 9th July, 2004, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 411 (E), dated the 9th July 2004 , namely:- In the said notification, in the Table,- (i) against serial number 1, in column (2), - (a) after entry 5703 30 the entry 5704 20 shall be inserted; (b) for entry 8469 00 10 , the entry 8472 90 91 shall be substituted; (c) for entry 8473 50 00 , the entries 8473 500 (except parts of heading 8472 90 91 to 8472 90 95) shall be substituted; (ii) against serial number 11E, for the entries in column (2), the entries All goods falling under tariff items 8528 42 00, 8528 52 00 or 8528 62 00 shall be substituted; (iii) against serial number 12A, for the entries in column (2), the entries Parts and accessories (heading 8529) of goods falling under tariff items 8528 42 00, 8528 52 00 or 8528 62 00 ; (iv) against serial number 17, for the entries in column (2), the entries Automatic Teller Machines falling under tariff item 8472 90 30 shall be substituted; (v) against serial number 18, for the entries in column (2), the entries Printed circuit assemblies of word processing machines and units thereof, falling under sub-heading 8473 40 shall be substituted. 2. The notification shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 2017.
