Central Government de-notifies an area of 3.24 hectares, making resultant area as 7.26 hectares at Bahadurpally Village, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad in the State of Andhra Pradesh - S.O. 561(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 14th February, 2017 S.O. 561(E). -Whereas, M/s. Satyam Computer Services Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology enabled services at Survey Number 62/1A, at Bahadurpally Village, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad in the State of Andhra Pradesh; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 10.5 hectares area at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notifications Numbers S.O. 1471(E) dated 11th September, 2006; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, further approved the request for transfer of formal approval from M/s. Satyam Computer Services Limited to M/s. Tech Mahindra Ltd, vide letter dated 16th September, 2013; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Tech Mahindra Ltd has now proposed for de-notification of 3.24 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Telangana has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. 86/IT C/Prom2/2006, dated 21st July, 2016; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 3.24 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 3.24 hectares , thereby making resultant area as 7.26 hectares , comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE S.
