Central Government de-notifies an area of 2.95 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 4.31 hectares at Bahadurpally Village, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad in the State of Andhra Pradesh - S.O. 5135 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd December, 2021 S.O. 5135(E). -Whereas, M/s. Satyam Computer Services Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology enabled services at Survey Number 62/1A, at Bahadurpally Village, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad in the State of Andhra Pradesh; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 10.5 hectares and de-notified an area of 3.24 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O. 1471 (E) dated 11th September, 2006 and S.O. 561(E) dated 14th February, 2017, respectively; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government vide letter dated 16th September, 2013, approved the request for transfer of formal approval from M/s. Satyam Computer Services Limited to M/s. Tech Mahindra Limited; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Tech Mahindra Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 2.95 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Telangana has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. 86/ IT C/Prom2/2006 dated 06th November, 2020. AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 2.95 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled and the de-notified land will be used for IT purposes by M/s. Tech Mahindra Limited as per the Government of Telangana letter No. 86/IT C/Prom2/2006 dated 24th November, 2021; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 2.95 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 4.31 hectares.
