Central Government de-notifies an area of 4.774 hectare, thereby making the resultant area as 63.6132 hectares at Sriperumbudur, Kancheepuram District in the State of Tamil Nadu - S.O. 1846 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8th June, 2020 S.O. 1846(E).- Whereas, M/s. Nokia India Private Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for manufacture and assembly of electronics, telecommunications, IT Hardware (including mobile phones, parts, components and accessories for phones and networks) and development of software, R D activities, training and other services in telecommunication at Sriperumbudur, Kancheepuram District in the State of Tamil Nadu; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified and de-notified the following areas as details given below in the table: - S. Nokia India Private Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 4.774 hectare from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. 1767/MIE.2/2020-1 dated 10thMarch, 2020; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, MEPZ, SEZ has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 4.774 hectare of the Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 4.774 hectare , thereby making the resultant area as 63.6132 hectares , comprising the Survey numbers and the areas given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICATION AREA Sl.
