Central Government de-notifies an area of 6.5074 hectare, thereby making the resultant area as 32.8645 hectares at Villages Pallippuram & Vailoor, District Thiruvanathapuram in the State of Kerala - S.O. 2323(E) - Special Economic Zone

Rescinded vide Notification No. S.O. 4426(E) dated 21-09-2022 MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 10th July, 2020 S.O. 2323(E).- Whereas, M/s. Electronics Technology Parks-Kerala, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services (IT/ITES) at Villages Pallippuram Vailoor, District Thiruvanathapuram in the State of Kerala; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , notified an area of 39.3719 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notifications Number S.O. 363(E) dated 13th February, 2013; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Electronics Technology Parks-Kerala has now proposed for de-notification of 6.5074 hectare from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Kerala has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. E IT-A2/80/2019/E ITD dated 05thDecember, 2019; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin, SEZ has recommended the proposal for denotification of an area of 6.5074 hectare of the Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 6.5074 hectare , thereby making the resultant area as 32.8645 hectares , comprising the Survey numbers and the areas given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICATION AREA Sl.
