GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL FINANCE DEPARTMENT REVENUE NOTIFICATION No. 1806-F.T. Dated, Howrah, the 3rd November, 2022. In exercise of the power conferred under sub-section (2) of section 72 of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (West Ben. Act XXVIII of 2017) (hereafter, in this notification, referred to as the said Act ), the Governor is pleased hereby to empower and require the Excise Officers upto the rank of Superintendent of Excise and also Excise Constables, working under the Excise Directorate, to assist, in addition to their normal duties, the various proper officers appointed under the said Act working under the Directorate of Commercial Taxes or the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence Enforcement as and when, and in as many number, but not exceeding 2 (two) Superintendents, 6 (six) Sub-Inspectors, and 8 (eight) Constables, as required by the Commissioner in the implementation of the said Act, especially Chapter XIV thereof. 2.
