Sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT and ITES Sector in the State of Gujarat - De-notifies an area of 0.7842 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 4.3265 hectares. - S.O. 6046(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ DIVISION) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 23rd December, 2022 S.O. 6046(E). -Whereas, M/s. Larsen and Toubro Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services Sector at Village Ankhol and Bapod, Taluka Vadodara, District Vadodara in the State of Gujarat; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , notified/de-notified the areas at the above Special Economic Zone as per details given below in the table: - Sl. Larsen and Toubro Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 0.7842 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Gujarat has given its approval to the proposal vide their letter No. IC/INFRA/SEZ/1618058 dated 26th February, 2020; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Kandla Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 0.7842 hectares of the Special Economic Zone. The proposed de-notified area shall be used as parking lot for SEZ; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 0.7842 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 4.3265 hectares.
