Appointment of officers as adjudicating authorities under FEMA Act - S.O. 1155 (E) - Foreign Exchange ManagementExtract MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) ORDER New Delhi, the 26th December, 2000 S.O. 1155 (E) - In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 16 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999) , the Central Government hereby appoints the officers mentioned in column No. 2 of the Table below as adjudicating authorities to hold an inquiry for the purpose of adjudication in respect of contraventions of sections 6(3)(g) and 7(l)(a) of the said Act and their jurisdictions as mentioned in column No. 3 of the said Table:- TABLE S No. Designation of adjudicating authorities Jurisdiction (1) (2) (3) 1. Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise. Cases within their territorial jurisdiction, involving an amount exceeding Rs. one crore. 2. Additional Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise Cases within their territorial jurisdiction, involving an amount exceeding Rs. 75 lakhs but not more than Rs. 1 crore. 3.
