Commencement date of the Constitution (Forty-fourth Amendment) Act, 1978 - G.S.R. 383(E) - Indian Law

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Constitution (Forty-fourth Amendment) Act, 1978, the Central Government hereby appoints : (a) the date immediately following the date on which this notification is published in the Official Gazette, as the date on which sections 2, 4 to 16 (both inclusive), 22, 23, 25 to 29 (both inclusive), 31 to 42 (both inclusive), 44 and 45 of the said Act shall come into force ; (b) the 1st day of August, 1979, as the date on which sections 17 to 21 (both inclusive), and 30 of the said Act shall come into force.
