Amendments in the notification No. 96/2008-Customs, dated the 13th August, 2008 - Regarding Duty free tariff preference for Least Developed Countries MINISTRY OF FINANCE Department of Revenue) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 19th January, 2009 No. 7/2009-Customs G.S.R. 36(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 96/2008-Customs, dated the 13th August, 2008 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 590 (E), dated the 13th August, 2008, namely:—. In the said notification, in the Schedule, after Sl. No. 10 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely:- Sl. No. Name of the Country "11 Republic of Benin 12 Union of Myanmar 13 Malawi 14 State of Eritrea" [F. No. 356/189/2007-TRU (Vol. II)] UNMESH S. WAGH, Under Secy. Note :- The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R 590(E), dated the 13th August, 2008 and was last amended by notification No.113/2008-Customs, dated the 31st October, 2008 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 757(E), datedthe3lst October, 2008.
