Paints and Varnishes - Assessment with reference to retail sale price from 1-9-1997 Notification No. 37/97-C.E. (N.T.) Dated 27-8-1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby specifies all goods falling under heading Nos. 32.08, 32.09 and 32.10 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986) as the goods to which the provisions of sub-section (2) of the said section shall apply. 2. This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of September, 1997.
