Modvat - Extended to Headings 51.01, 51.02, 52.01 and 52.02

In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 57A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 5/94-Central Excises (N.T.), dated the 1st March, 1994, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, against Sl. No. 1, -

(i) in column (2), for the words, letters and figures "and heading Nos. or sub-heading Nos. 53.04", the words, letters and figures "and heading Nos. or sub-heading Nos. 51.01, 51.02, 52.01, 52.02, 53.04" shall be substituted;

(ii) in column (3), for the figures and letters "51.03, 51.05", the figures and letters "51.01, 51.02, 51.03, 51.05, 52.01, 52.02" shall be substituted.
