Amendment to Notification No. 11/88-C.E. (N.T.) - Licensing

Notification No. 33/89-C.E. (N.T.)

In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 174A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient in the public interest so to do, hereby amends the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 11/88-Central Excises (N.T.), dated the 15th April, 1988 as follows, namely :-

In the said notification, -

(i) in clause (f) of the first proviso, after the words, brackets and figures, "sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the said rules", the words, brackets and figures "or sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), as the case may be" shall be inserted.

(ii) in THE SCHEDULE, in paragraph 8, in column (9), after the words and figures, "rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944" the words and figures, "or section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), as the case may be" shall be inserted.
