Export - Export products/intermediate products - Rule 191B

In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 191B of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby permits the manufacture in bond of the articles specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, from the excisable goods specified in column (3) thereof, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 53/59-Central Excises, dated the 9th May, 1959.

Provided that, in addition to the compliance of conditions mentioned in the said Notification No. 53/59-Central Excises, dated the 9th May, 1959, the manufacturer of the said export products possesses a valid Advance Licence and the supplier of the said intermediate products possesses a valid Intermediate Advance Licence under the Duty Exemption Scheme specified in Chapter XIX of the Import-Export Policy, April 1988 -March 1991.

Explanation. — For the purposes of this notification, -

(I) "intermediate products" and "export products" shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in paragraph 220(2) of the Import - Export Policy, April 1988 - March 1991 relating to Intermediate Advance Licences;

(II) "the Import - Export Policy, April 1988 - March 1991", means the Import and Export Policy, April 1988 - March 1991, published vide Public Notice of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. 1 - ITC (PN)/88/91, dated the 30th March, 1988, as amended from time to time.
