Vegetable saps and extracts, used for the manufacture of medicaments - Amendment to Notification No. 4/97-C.E. Notification No. 30/97-C.E. Dated 9-5-1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment to the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 4/97-Central Excise, dated the 1st March, 1997, namely :- In the Table below the said Notification, after S. No. 1A and entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely, - (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "1B. 13 Vegetable saps and extracts, used within the factory of their production for the manufacture of medicaments which are exclusively used in Ayurvedic, Unani or Siddha systems Nil -".
