Motor Vehicles and parts - Amendments to Notification Nos. 162/86-C.E., 462/86-C.E. 257/88-C.E. Notification No. 74/92-C.E. Dated 19-6-1992 In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 162/86-Central Ex-cises, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification -(i) after Sl. No. 2 and the entries relating thereto the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "2A 87.03 All goods Fifty per cent ad valorem -" (ii) after Sl. No. 12 and the entries relating thereto the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) "12A. 87.06 Chassis fitted with engines for the motor vehicles of heading No. 87.03 Fifty per cent ad valorem -" 2. 462/86-Central Exci-ses, dated the 9th December, 1986. In the said notification, for the figures and words "15% ad valorem " the figures and words "10% ad valorem" shall be substituted. 3. 257/88-Central Exci-ses, dated the 30th September, 1988. In the said notification, for the figures and words "15% ad valorem " the figures and words "10% ad valorem" shall be substituted.
