Effective rates of duty on specified items of railway rolling stock

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 452/86-Central Excises, dated the 20th November, 1986, namely :-

In the said notification, for the Table, the following Table shall be substituted, namely :-

04.	8606.00	Each unit of bogie-open-eight-wheeler wagons of pay-load not exceeding 60 tonnes	Rs. 24,000 per unit
05.	8606.00	Each unit of eight-wheeler covered wagons of pay-load not exceeding 60 tonnes	Rs. 35,000 per unit
06.	8606.00	Each unit of four-wheeler tank-wagons of pay-load not exceeding 23 tonnes	Rs. 20,000 per unit
07.	8606.00	Each unit of eight-wheeler tank-wagons of pay-load not exceeding 60 tonnes	Rs. 40,000 per unit.".
