Amends Notification No. 68/86-C.E.

Notification No. 148/87-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 68/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 11, for the entries in column (5), the following entries shall be substituted, namely :-

"Provided that such articles are made from unrecorded articles falling under heading No. 85.23 :

Provided further that such articles -

(i) are not intended for sale, or

(ii) are intended for sale or supply in the form of U-matic Video tapes formats of width not less than 19 millimetres to Doordarshan, or

(iii) are intended for sale or supply to All India Radio or any other Department of the Government of India in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting."
