Exemption to tea packed in containers exceeding 20 kilograms manufactured from duty paid tea

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government exempts tea packed in containers of content exceeding 20 kilograms, falling under sub-heading No. 0902.19 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986), from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon which is specified in the said Schedule, if such tea is manufactured from tea falling under the said sub-heading No. 0902.19 on which appropriate amount of duty of excise leviable thereon has already been paid.
