Exchange rates for export goods - Amendment to Notification Nos. 55/97-Cus. (N.T.) and 57/97-Cus. (N.T.) Notification No. 60/97-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 24-11-1997 In pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (2 of 1899) and sub-clause (i) of clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 55/97-NT-Cus. [S.O. 750(E)], dated 27th October, 1997 Notification No. 57/97-NT-Cus., S.O. No. 783(E), dated 19th November, 1997 namely :- In the Schedule-I of the said Notification for serial No. 5, 11, 13 14 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely :- Sl. No. Foreign Currency Rate of exchange of one unit of foreign currency equivalent to Indian rupees (1) (2) (3) 5. Deutsche Mark 21.93 11. Pound Sterling 64.29 13. Swiss Franc 27.01 14. U.S. Dollar 38.37 This rate will be effective from 25th November, 1997.
