Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1995 - Amendments Notification No. 53/95-Cus. C.E. (N.T.) Dated 15-9-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 75 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1994), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1995 notified vide Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue notification No. 37/95-Customs and Central Excise (N.T.) dated the 26the May 1995, namely:- In the said rules, in rule 8, in sub-rule (1) for the words "five thousand rupees" the following shall be substituted, namely :- "five hundred rupees" Provided that this sub-rule shall not apply in the case of - (a) drawback on exports made in discharge of export obligation against an Advance Licence issued under the Export and Import Policy notified by the Central Government under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), or (b) export made by post".
