Imports under Duty Entitlement Pass Book - Exemption - Amendment to Notification No. 34/97-Cus. Notification No. 81/99-Cus. Dated 25-6-1999 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 34/97-Customs, dated the 7th April, 1997, namely :- In the said notification, in condition (iv), in the proviso, for the words "Provided that", the words "Provided further that" shall be substituted, and before the proviso as so amended, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely :- "Provided that where the expiry of the Duty Entitlement Pass Book falls before the last day of the month, the Duty Entitlement Pass Book shall be deemed to be valid till the last day of the said month:".
