Imports of specified goods by Research Institutes and/or Universities withdrawn - Notification No. 64/96-Cus. - Amended Notification No. 64/96-Cus. Dated 31-8-1996 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 229/88-Customs, dated the 1st August, 1988. 2. This notification shall come into effect on and from the 1st day of September, 1996.
