Chapter 84 - Effective rate of duty for certain specified goods - Amendment to Notification No. 49/95 Notification No. 90/95-Cus. Dated 1-5-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 49/95-Customs, dated the 16th March, 1995, namely : - In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) for S. No. 2 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be substituted, namely : - (1) (2) (3) "2. 84.14 All goods other than following, namely : - compressors of a kind for use in air-conditioning and refrigerating equipment; and (ii) parts of those compressors specified at (i) above which are (a) of less than 7.5 H.P.; and (b) interchangeable for use with motor vehicles"; (ii) for S. No. 17 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. Nos. and entries shall be substituted, namely : (1) (2) (3) "17. 8479.10, 8479.20, 8479.30, 8479.40, 8479.81, 8479.82 and 8479.90; All goods 17A. 8479.89 Machinery for production of commodities".
