Specified goods imported as baggage Notification No. 67/95-Cus. Dated 16-3-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts the goods falling under heading No. 98.03 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into India by a passenger as baggage, from so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the said First Schedule, as is in excess of the amount calculated at the rate specified in any of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, specified in the Schedule hereto annexed, wherever applicable but for the classification of such goods under heading No. 98.03 of the said First Schedule, subject to the conditions specified in the corresponding notification, wherever applicable.
