Air conditioned cars, coaches/motor-vehicles - Notification No. 73/94-Cus. Extended upto 31-12-1995 Notification No. 5/95-Cus. Dated 16-1-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 73/94-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1994, namely :- In the said notification, for paragraph 2 and the Explanation, the following paragraph and Explanation shall be substituted, namely :- "2. This notification shall remain in force upto and inclusive of the 31st day of December, 1995. Explanation : For the purposes of this notification, - (a) "specified importer" means a State Tourism Corporation; a Tour Operator, Tourist Transport Operator, a Travel Agency, a Classified Hotel, or a Car Rental Agency approved by the Director General of Tourism in the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism (Department of Tourism), Government of India; (b) "air-conditioned coaches" mean air-conditioned motor vehicles for the transport of fifteen or more persons including the driver.".
