Amends Notification Nos. 221/76-Cus., 176/83-Cusv 52/86-Cus., 231/88-Cus. and 103/89-Cus. Notification No. 30/93-Cus. Dated 28-2-1993 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance in the Department of Revenue and Banking (Revenue Wing) or the Department of Revenue, as the case may be, specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the said notification, for the Table, the following Table shall be substituted, namely:- "TABLE S. No. Description of goods Rate of duty (1) (2) (3) 1. Cinematograph film, not exposed, the following :- (i) Black and white positive 30 paise per linear metre plus 45% ad valorem (ii) Black and white negative 30 paise per linear metre plus 45 % ad valorem (iii) Sound film 30 paise per linear metre plus 45 % ad valorem (iv) Colour negative 25% ad valorem 4. Sub-standard cinema tograph films, ex posed, of size not exceeding 9.5 mm. 33 paise per linear metre plus 45 % ad valorem ". 2. No. 176/83-Customs, dated the 14th June, 1983. In the said notification, for the Table, the following Table shall be substituted, namely:- "TABLE S. No. Description of goods Rate of duty (1) (2) (3) 1. Jumbo Rolls of Colour Roll Films 60% ad valorem ". 3. No. 52/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986. In the Table to the said notification,- (i) against Sl. No. 1, in column (4), for the words and figures "Rupee 1/-per linear metre", the figures and words "40 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted; (ii) S1. No. 2 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted. 4. No. 231/88-Customs, dated the 1st August, 1988. In the said notification, for the figures and words "45 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "50 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 5. No. 103/89-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1989. In the said notification, for the figures and words "35% ad valorem ", the words "40% ad valorem " shall be substituted.
