Amendment to Notification No. 162/90-Cus. - G.E. No. 140B Notification No. 262/92-Cus. Dated 27-8-1992 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 162/90-Customs, dated the 30th March, 1990, namely :- In the said Notification, - (i) for the words "raw materials and components" wherever they occur, the words "raw materials, components, intermediates, consumables, parts other than spares and packing materials" shall be substituted, (ii) in the table, after serial No. (7) and the entry relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :- "(8) Any other item as may be specified by a Public Notice issued in pursuance of sub-para (iii) of para 56 of Export and Import Policy 1st April, 1992 - 31st March, 1997, published vide Public Notice of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. 1-ITC(PN)92-97, dated the 31st March, 1992".
