Goods of Chapter 15 - Amendment to Notification No. 31/89-Cus. Notification No. 161/91-Cus. Dated 27-12-1991 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 31/89-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1989, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said notification - (i) against S.No. 49, in column (4), for the figures and words "55 per cent ad valorem", the figures and words "70 per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted; (ii) S.No. 50 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted. 2. This notification shall come into force on the first day of January, 1992.
