Exemption from additional duty to specified goods falling within Chapter 28 or 29 Notification No. 64/91-Cus. Dated 25-7-1991 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 57/85-Customs, dated the 17th March, 1985 and No. 179/86-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1986, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts goods specified in column (2) of the Table annexed hereto and falling within Chapter 28 or 29 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into India, from the whole of the additional duty of customs leviable thereon under section 3 of the said Customs Tariff Act.
