Amendment to Notification No. 211/83-Cus. - Exemption to capital goods, raw materials etc. for repairs of ocean-going vessels Notification No. 43/91-Cus. Dated 3-5-1991 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 211/83-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1983, namely - In the said notification, - (a) in the opening paragraph, for the words "capital goods, components, raw materials and consumables", the words and brackets "capital goods and spares thereof, raw materials, components, material handling equipments and consumerables (hereinafter referred to as the said goods)" shall be substituted; (b) in condition (1), for the words "capital goods, components, raw materials and consumables" the words "such of the said goods as are" shall be substituted; (c) in condition (2), - (i) for clause (a), the following clause shall be substituted, namely :- "(a) on the said goods which are capital goods or spares thereof, or material handling equipments, as are not proved to the satisfaction of the Collector of Customs to have been installed or otherwise used for the aforesaid purpose,"; (ii) in clause (b), for the words "on goods", the words "on the said goods", shall be substituted.
