Amends Notification No. 208/81-Cus. - Life saving drugs/equipments Notification No. 46/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 208/81-Customs, dated the 22nd September, 1981, namely:- In the Schedule annexed to the said notification,- (a) under heading "A. Life saving drugs or medicines", after item 188, the following items shall be inserted, namely :- "189 Ambinonium Chloride injection 190 Amrinon tablets and Amrinon-Inocar injection 191 Carboplatin injection 192 Flucytosin Capsules 193 Fosfesterol Sodium tablets and injection 194 Hydrallazine injection 195 Moxalactam injection 196 Netilmycin injection 197 Polydacanol iniection 198 Sterile Absorbable Haemostat for control of Surgical Vessel bleeding 199 Ticarcillin Sodium injection 200 Triethylene tetramine injection 201 Tri-iodo-thyramine tablets and injection 202 Vancomycin Injection 203 Vincristine Sulphate injection 204 Zidovidine Capsules and injections"; (b) under heading "B. Life saving equipments"; (i) item 1 and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted; (ii) in item 44, the words "Butterfly needle G., Infusion set;" shall be omitted; and (iii) after item 53, the following Explanation shall be inserted, namely:- "Explanation:- For the purposes of this notification, the items listed under this heading shall not include Foley Baloon catheters."
