Amendment to Notification No. 61/86-Cus. [ Ch. 72] Notification No. 308/88-Cus. Dated 25-11-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 61/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986, namely : In the first paragraph of the said notification, after the Table, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely :- "Provided that the exemption contained in this notification shall not be available in respect of the hoops and strips described at Sl. No. 6 of the above Table, if the said hoops and strips are galvanized or painted or are zinc alloy coated or aluminium alloy coated or colour coated or plastic coated or lacquer coated".
