Amendment to Notification No. 71/87-Cus. [ Ch. 84] Notification No. 246/88-Cus. Dated 13-9-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 71/87-Cus., dated the 1st March, 1987, namely :- (1) In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) for Sl. No. 1 and the entries relating thereto the following Sl. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "1. Air jet looms with or without oil free rotary type screw compressors."; and (ii) after Sl. No. 7 and the entries relating thereto the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- "8. Auto coners. 9. Air jet spinning machine including those suitable for spinning two fold yarns - Air jet spinning principle. 10. Air splicers along with ancillary equipment for yarn splicing purposes." and (2) In paragraph 2 for the figures and words "31st day of March, 1989" the figures and words "31st day of March, 1990" shall be substituted.
