Amendment to five notifications Notification No. 206/88-Cus. Dated 29-6-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment 1. (2) (3) 1. 42/78-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1978. In the Table annexed to the said notification for Sl. No. 14 and the entry relating thereto the following Sl. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "14. All types of staking machines except Slocum (Slow combing process."; 2. 29/79-Customs, dated the 10th February, 1979. In the Table annexed to the said notification for Sl. Nos. 7, 9 and 10 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall respectively be substituted, namely :- "7. Polyurethane sole." "9. Leather, plastic, rubber, coco board, masonite board or plastic board, heels with or without rubber/PVC top lift." "10. Toe caps and counters for leather footwear."; 3. 16/85-Customs, dated the 1st February, 1985. In the Table annexed to the said notification after Sl. No. 105 and the entry relating thereto the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- "106. Dry to dry cleaning machine 107. Dyeing machine for crimped yarn. 108. Automatic bobbin winder. 109. Hand labellers for marking the cloth after cutting."; 4. 60/85-Customs, dated the 17th March, 1985. In the Table annexed to the said notification for Sl. No. 3 and the entry relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "3. Finished leather, all kinds, including splits and sides thereof."; 5. 224/85-Customs, dated the 9th July, 1985 In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (a) Sl. No. 7 and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted; and (b) for Sl. Nos. 5, 9, 12, 15 and 24 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall respectively be substituted, namely :- "5. In-soles or mid-soles and sheets therefor." "9. Unit soles with or without heels." "12. Patterns for leather footwear." "15. Clicking boards for leather machinery." "24. Silvermarking pencils or pens and refills thereof.".
