Amendments to Notification Nos. 159/88-Cus. and 161/88-Cus. - Auxiliary duty Notification No. 191/88-Cus. Dated 1-6-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 77 of the Finance Act, 1988 (26 of 1988), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amended as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 159/88-Customs, dated the 13th May, 1988. In the Table annexed to the said notification after Serial No. 270 and the entry relating thereto, the following Serial No. and entry shall be added :- "270. No. 243-Customs, dated 24th September, 1984." 2. 161/88-Customs, dated the 13th May, 1988. In the Table annexed to the said notification Serial No. 13 and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted.
