Exemption to Silver falling under Heading No. 71.06 Notification No. 154/88-Cus. Dated 2-5-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exem pts silver falling under Heading No. 71.06 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into India under the Scheme for export of Gold and Silver Jewellery and Articles for sale at approved exhibitions, referred to in Part II of Chapter XXI of the Import and Export Policy (Volume I) April 1988 - March, 1991 published vide Public Notice No. 1-ITC(PN)/88-91, dated the 30th March, 1988, of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part I, Section 1, dated the 30th March, 1988, from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule.
