Amendment to Notification Nos. 87/88-Cus. and 89/88-Cus. - Auxiliary duty Notification No. 153/88-Cus. Dated 2-5-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-clause (4) of clause 77 of the Finance Bill, 1988, which clause has by virtue of the declaration made in the said Finance Bill under the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 87/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988. In the Schedule to the said notification, after Sl. No. 135 and the entry relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be inserted, namely :- "135 A. No. 224-Customs, dated the 1st October, 1981.". 2. 89/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988. In the Schedule to the said notification, Sl. No. 8 and entry relating thereto shall be omitted.
