Amendment to Notification No. 77/80-Cus. [G.E. No. 126] Notification No. 129/88-Cus. Dated 12-4-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 77-Customs/80, dated the 17th April, 1980, namely :- In the said notification, (a) in the first paragraph, in condition (4), after the words "and to fulfil inter alia, the conditions stipulated in this notification", the words, abbreviations, figures, letters and brackets", "and in or under the Import and Export Policy for April, 1985 - March, 1988, notified by the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 1-ITC(PN)/85-88, dated the 12th April, 1985 (hereafter in this notification referred to as the said Import and Export Policy), as amended from time to time" shall be inserted; (b) in paragraph 2A, for the words, figures, abbreviations and brackets "the Import and Export Policy for April, 1983 - March, 1984 (Volume I), notified by the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 10-ITC(PN)/83, dated the 15th April, 1983", the words "the said Import and Export Policy" shall be substituted.
