Auxiliary duty - Amendment to Notification No. 87/88-Cus. Notification No. 118/88-Cus. Dated 30-3-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-clause (4) of Clause 77 of the Finance Bill, 1988, which clause has, by virtue of the declaration made in the said Finance Bill under the provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 87/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988, namely :- In the Schedule to the said notification (i) after Serial No. 258 and the entry relating thereto, the following serial Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- "259 No. 116 Customs, dated the 30th March, 1988; 260 No. 117 Customs, dated the 30th March, 1988." (ii) the existing entries against Serial Nos. 213 and 224 shall be deleted. 2. This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 1988.
